Preamble
Energy Ease (hereinafter referred to as “we”, “controller” or “Manos”) is a home
energy management system provided by MANOS Energy GmbH.
Manos is committed to protecting and maintaining
your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, store, and use your personal information through the
app and applies to all services. By using our services, you agree to the terms of this Privacy Policy and agree
to the use of the information you provide to us in accordance with this Privacy Policy.

In order to explain how Energy Ease collects, uses and stores your personal information and what rights you have, we will explain the relevant matters to you through this privacy agreement, the main contents are as follows:

1. Information We Collect, Use, and Legal Basis
During your use of Energy Ease, the
devices you add will be connected to the cloud by default, and your email address, phone number, device data and
household information will be uploaded to the cloud. If you refuse to connect the devices to the cloud, you may
not be able to use some functions.
We will collect and use the information you actively provide or that is
generated during your use of the services in the following ways:
1.1 When you register Energy Ease, we will collect and use your email address or phone number.
The purpose of collecting this information is to help you complete the registration function of Energy Ease and
protect the security of your account. If you do not provide such information, you may not be able to use our
services normally. After you successfully register an account, we will collect and store your account password on the cloud. When you log in, you can choose whether to check the "Remember Password" option. If you check it, we will collect and store your account password locally for your convenience in subsequent logins. Declining to check this option will not affect your normal use of the APP. You can also choose to fill in a user name and other information according to your
needs.
Legal basis: According to Article 6(1)(b) of the GDPR, it is necessary for the performance of the
service contract between you and us. We process your email address and username for the purpose of completing
account registration and identity verification. Pursuant to Article 6(1)(f) of the GDPR: We collect and store your account password locally on the basis of our legitimate interests in optimizing product experience.
1.2 During your use of Energy Ease, in order to ensure the normal operation of the service, optimize user experience, and protect the security of your account, we will collect the basic information required for Energy Ease to provide you with services, including your device model, operating system, device MAC address, unique device identifiers (such as IMEI/MEID/IMSI/Android ID/IDFA/IDFV/OAID/UAID, SIM card IMSI, ICCID information, and other device identifiers), WIFI status (such as SSID, BSSID), the string assigned to your device by the manufacturer, login IP address, Energy Ease version number, type, method, and status of network connection, network conditions, device accelerator (such as gravity sensor), operation logs, service logs (such as your search and browsing within Energy Ease, service failures, referral links, etc.), installation list, and other information. When you configure the network for the device, you can choose whether to check the Wi-Fi Key Storage option. If you check this option, we will collect and store your Wi-Fi key locally to facilitate the device’s reconnection to the network. Declining to check this option will not affect your normal network configuration process.
Legal basis: According to Article 6(1)(a) of the GDPR, the data subject has explicitly
consented to the processing of their personal data. The processing of data uploaded to the cloud is carried out
with your consent; you have the right to refuse or withdraw your consent;
According to Article 6(1)(b) of
the GDPR, it is necessary for the performance of the service contract between you and us. The processing of your
device data is necessary to provide you with core functions such as device binding and uploading household
information;
According to Article 6(1)(f) of the GDPR: for our legitimate interests in ensuring service
security, maintaining system functionality, and optimizing product experience, we collect and process such data.
1.3 When you use the monitoring function, in order for you to view complete monitoring data,
we need to collect the serial numbers of the data collectors bound under the household and the serial numbers of
their sub-devices (such as inverters, meters, charging piles, batteries, etc.). At the same time, our monitoring
system will collect the data uploaded by the data collectors and their sub-devices every 5 minutes to perform
necessary data statistics and analysis functions. In addition, in order to allow the device manufacturer to
diagnose problems when devices malfunction, provide you with timely support and service, and quickly resolve
issues, we will also collect the following telemetry data, including device serial number, device status, and
alarm codes.
Legal basis: According to Article 6(1)(b) of the GDPR, it is necessary for
the performance of the service contract between you and us. This data is used to display complete monitoring
information to you and perform data statistics and analysis.
1.4 When you create a household, you need to enter household name, region, address and other
information. This information will be uploaded and stored on our server so that you can use it when you log in
to Energy Ease on other devices. You can also modify this information at any time. Later, during the device
network configuration process, the device itself will store the account and password used to manage the device,
which will be used for credential verification when you manage the device. The account and password are stored
only in the device, and the password is stored in an irreversible encrypted form.
Legal
basis: According to Article 6(1)(b) of the GDPR, this type of data is necessary for you to create a
power station and for subsequent management.
1.5 When you contact our customer service, we may need you to provide necessary personal
information for identity verification to ensure the security of your account. In order to provide services as
per your request and within your authorization, the customer service personnel may need to inquire about or
verify your relevant information. We will take technical and management measures to ensure the security and
confidentiality of your information as far as possible and use this information within the necessary scope. We
may also retain your contact information (such as the phone number, email or other contact information you use
or provide), communication records and content with us, and other necessary information in order to provide and
record customer service.
Legal basis: According to Article 6(1)(b) of the GDPR, it is
necessary for fulfilling your requests as the data subject;
According to Article 6(1)(f) of the GDPR: out
of our legitimate interest in optimizing services, we will retain and analyze relevant data.
1.6 In order to ensure the security of our services and help us better understand the
operating conditions of our application, we may record information such as the frequency of your use of the
application, crash data, overall usage, performance data, and application source. We will not combine the
information stored in the analytics software with any personally identifiable information you provide in the
application.
Legal basis: According to Article 6(1)(f) of the GDPR: out of our legitimate
interests in system stability, security, and continuous optimization, we collect and process such data.
1.7 According to Article 6(1) of the GDPR, we may collect and use your personal information
without obtaining your consent in the following situations:
a) It is necessary for the performance of a
contract to which the data subject is a party, or to take steps at the request of the data subject prior to
entering into a contract;
b) It is necessary for the controller to comply with a legal obligation under
Union or Member State law;
c) It is necessary for performing a task carried out in the public interest or
in the exercise of official authority vested in the controller;
d) It is necessary to protect the vital
interests of the data subject or another person (such as in emergency medical situations);
e) It is
necessary for the purposes of the legitimate interests pursued by the controller or a third party, and does not
override the fundamental rights of the data subject.
1.8 If we use your personal information beyond the purposes for which you have authorized, we will notify you again and obtain your explicit consent before using your personal information.
1.9 Please understand that the features and services we provide to you are continuously updated and developed. If a certain feature or service does not inform you of the rules for collecting and using your information in the above explanations, we will inform you separately of the scope, purpose, and method of information collection through page prompts, interactive procedures, website announcements, or other means to obtain your consent.
2. Storage of Information
2.1 Location of information storage
In
order to better comply with data protection laws and protect personal data, we have established a data center in
Europe for data storage. If personal data of individuals located in the EU, EEA or Switzerland is transferred to
countries or regions that have not been recognized by the European Commission as providing adequate data
protection, we will ensure that the data transfer is adequately protected through Standard Contractual Clauses
approved by the European Commission and (if necessary) take other appropriate technical measures.
2.2 Retention period of information
Generally, we will retain your personal information
for a necessary period of time to fulfill a specific purpose, for example:
Phone number or email: During
your use of the Energy Ease service, we will retain your phone number or email (including the number or email
used to register the Energy Ease account and associated with that account) to ensure your normal use of the
service. This type of information will be deleted upon the deletion of your Energy Ease account.
Household
information: When you create a household, we need to retain relevant information to ensure that you can use the
monitoring function normally. When you delete your household, we will also delete the corresponding
information.
Locally Stored Data: When you check the option to remember your account password or Wi-Fi password, we will store the information you choose to save in the local storage. Such information will be deleted when you uninstall the APP.
If we cease to provide our products or services, we will notify you by sending notifications, publishing announcements or other means, and will delete or anonymize your personal information within a reasonable time (“anonymization” means irreversible erasure or deletion of personal information to ensure that
the identity of the information owner cannot be identified. Any anonymized information will not be regarded as
personal information).
For your requests to delete information, we will respond and process them within 30
days, and no later than 60 days.
3. Information Security
We are committed to protecting users' information from theft,
misuse, unauthorized access or disclosure.
We will use various security protection measures within a
reasonable security level to ensure the security of information. For example, we will use encryption
technologies (such as SSL/TLS), de-identification, anonymization and other means to protect your personal
information.
We will continuously enhance technical means to improve the security of the software installed
on devices to prevent the leakage of personal information. For example, we will encrypt part of the information
on your device to ensure the security of data transmission; collect the applications installed or running
processes on the device, or the data stored in the device memory, to prevent attacks by viruses, Trojans or
other malicious programs or websites; analyze and use data such as unique device identifiers, login IP
addresses, operation logs and location information, take measures or issue alerts to prevent illegal behaviors
including online fraud, account theft and impersonation, and conduct security checks.
We have formulated
relevant management policies, processes, and teams to ensure information security. For example, we strictly
restrict personnel who can access information, require them to comply with confidentiality obligations, and
conduct personnel audits.
If an information leakage or any other incident related to information security
occurs, we will immediately respond to the incident to avoid the situation worsening and further affecting more
users, and notify you of the incident through sending notifications or publishing announcements.
We will
take all possible technical and organizational measures to protect your information, but cannot guarantee that
our measures will eliminate all security risks.
4. Information Sharing
In order to ensure the realization of certain independent
functions and enable you to use and enjoy more services and functions, we will embed third-party SDKs in the
application and carefully evaluate the purposes of using these SDKs. For more information on the purposes,
methods, and scope of SDKs processing personal information, please refer to the Third-Party Sharing
List.
With the continuous development of our business, Manos may undergo mergers, divisions, and
other transactions. If this involves the transfer of personal information, we will inform you of the relevant
situation and continue to protect or require the new processor to continue protecting your personal information.
5. Your Rights
During your use of Energy Ease, in order to facilitate your access to,
copying, correction, and deletion of your personal information, and to ensure your rights to withdraw consent
for the processing of personal information and to cancel your account, we have provided corresponding operation
settings in the product design. In addition, we have set up complaint and report channels, as well as channels
for requesting explanations. Your opinions and requests will be handled in a timely manner.
The operation
procedures may vary depending on the operating system or version of Energy Ease. We may adjust the operation
procedures from time to time to optimize user experience. If you still have questions about how to exercise
relevant rights, you may contact us through the public methods in Article 8 of this policy.
5.1 Right of Access
You have the right to request access to your personal data we hold at
any time to understand how we collect, use and process your information. We will respond to your request within
the time limit stipulated by law and provide you with the relevant information free of charge.
5.2 Right to Data Portability
You have the right to obtain a copy of your personal data
we hold and receive this data in a structured, commonly used and machine-readable format. You may also request
us to directly transfer this data to other data controllers (within the scope of technical feasibility).
5.3 Right to Erasure
You have the right to request that we delete your personal data. We
will process your request as soon as possible within the scope permitted by law. However, if we cannot delete
the data due to legal obligations or other legitimate reasons, we will inform you of the specific reasons.
5.4 Right to Rectification
You have the right to request that we correct any inaccurate
or incomplete personal data to ensure the accuracy of your information. If you find that our data is incorrect,
please feel free to contact us to submit a correction request. We will process your request within the time
limit stipulated by law and promptly update your information.
5.4 Right to Withdraw Consent
You have the right to withdraw your consent at any time.
Withdrawal of consent does not affect the legality of the processing based on consent before the withdrawal.
Some information collection and processing behaviors (such as device connection to the cloud, precise location
acquisition, etc.) rely on your authorization. If you withdraw your consent, we will no longer carry out the
corresponding data processing, and some functions may be restricted or unavailable as a result.
5.6 Right to Lodge a Complaint
If you are dissatisfied with any of our actions, you may
lodge a complaint with Manos through the contact methods at the bottom. You also have the right to file a
complaint with the relevant data protection supervisory authority. If you believe that we have violated
applicable data protection laws in your country when processing your personal data, you have the right to file a
complaint with the data protection supervisory authority in your EU member state or with the data protection
supervisory authority of our main place of business. We respect your right to complain and will take your
complaints seriously. We will actively cooperate with the investigation of the supervisory authority and take
corrective measures to improve our data processing activities if necessary.
5.7 Right to Restriction of Processing
According to the requirements of applicable laws,
under certain circumstances, you have the right to request us to restrict the way we process your personal
information. For example, if you dispute the accuracy of personal information and we need a period of time to
verify the accuracy of that personal information, you can request us to restrict the processing of that data
during this period.
5.8 Right to Object
You have the right, based on your specific situation, to object to
our processing of your personal data based on legitimate interests at any time. Once you exercise your right to
object, we will stop processing your personal information unless we can prove that such processing has
overriding legitimate grounds or that the processing is for the establishment, exercise or defense of legal
claims. If we process your personal information for direct marketing purposes, you have the right to object at
any time, and upon objection, we will immediately stop the data processing for such purposes.
6. Revisions
This policy may be updated, revised, modified or changed periodically as
needed and in accordance with legal requirements. If any terms of this policy are updated, changed, or revised,
we will display the modified policy to you via push notifications, pop-ups or other methods when you log in to
Energy Ease or when the application version is updated.
7. Other Matters
Under certain specific services or functions of Energy Ease business, we
may inform you of the purposes, methods or scope of personal information processing through interactive
copywriting, product interfaces or pop-ups. In case of inconsistency, the separately notified content shall
prevail.

We will review the issue as soon as possible and respond within 30 days of receiving your request or complaint. The follow-up processing period usually does not exceed 90 days. If we encounter special circumstances, we will inform you of the processing time and
the reason for the delay within 30 days after receiving your request.
